IAA 2025 | Sharing Key Insights for Global Expansion: KOTEI Drives AI Transformation in European Automotive Software Engineering

On September 10th, during the IAA MOBILITY 2025, the "Roundtable Salon on Chinese Automakers' New Exploration of the European Market," co-hosted by Amazon and the China EV100's Auto100 Think Tank, was successfully held. The event brought together senior executives from globally renowned automotive companies, industry experts, technical specialists, and representatives from Chinese smart supply chain enterprises to discuss the opportunities and challenges faced by Chinese new energy vehicle companies in the European market. Mr. Lv Nan, CMO of KOTEI and General Manager of Shanghai KOTEI, was invited to attend and shared the company's global expansion strategy keywords: "Building Ecosystems, Embracing Change."

Mr. Lv Nan pointed out that China is leading the global wave of electrification, and intelligence has become the next frontier in the competition of new energy vehicles. Software enables a completely new digital experience, while AI empowers core competitiveness in automotive software development. Whether transitioning from traditional vehicles to new energy vehicles or evolving from Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV) to AI-Defined Vehicles (AIDV), both Chinese and European companies need to actively build ecosystems and embrace change.

Driven by the dual strategies of "ALL IN AI" and "Internationalization," KOTEI is actively expanding its global business. It has established six international hubs in regions such as Japan, North America, and Europe, and has formed deep collaborations with several global leading Tier1 and OEM manufacturers, creating a strategic layout of "Rooted in China, Serving the World."

Since the beginning of this year, KOTEI has been highly active in the European market. It made appearances at the 6th Automotive Software Strategy Summit and the 16th AUTOSAR Open Conference in Germany in May. At IAA, KOTEI showcased multiple innovative achievements tailored for the European market. Notably, leveraging over two decades of experience in mass production of automotive software, KOTEI introduced SDW, an AI-driven, human-machine collaborative, end-to-end intelligent automotive software development platform. SDW will effectively accelerate Europe's SDV progress and propel automotive software engineering fully into a new AI era. This further demonstrates KOTEI's leading position in the "AI + Automotive Software" field and its firm commitment to the European market.

Based on successful experiences in expanding into the Japanese and North American markets, Mr. Lv Nan emphasized that the key for Chinese companies to achieve commercial profitability overseas, beyond technical capability, lies in a deep understanding and precise alignment with local needs. By forming localized teams, establishing partnerships with key local stakeholders, promoting high-level strategic interactions, systematically demonstrating technical capabilities and systemic advantages, and progressing projects from small-scale POC to large-scale mass production, sustainable competitiveness in the international market can be built.

Looking ahead, KOTEI will continue to drive technological innovation, deepen its understanding of European market demands, actively promote open collaboration with local enterprises, and jointly build sustainable ecosystem partnership models. This effort aims to continuously enhance the influence of the Chinese automotive industry in the global market and genuinely empower the AI-driven transformation of smart mobility.
