On May 27-28 local time, the 16th AUTOSAR Open Conference was grandly held at the Bruges Conference Center in Belgium. The conference brought together top global automotive experts, developers, and industry leaders to discuss technological advancements and innovative practices within the AUTOSAR framework, focusing on cutting-edge fields such as adaptive platforms, functional safety and cybersecurity, and connected and autonomous vehicle technologies. As the responsible unit for the AUTOSAR AR-Explorer working group, KOTEI Information was invited to attend the conference and officially released the "AR-Explorer" developed for AUTOSAR. KOTEI 's CMO, LV Nan, participated in the event and engaged in in-depth exchanges with industry professionals.
AUTOSAR (Automotive Open System Architecture) is a standardized software architecture for automotive electronic systems, aimed at improving the reusability, scalability, and interoperability of automotive software while reducing development complexity. Its collaborative members include global OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, semiconductor and chip manufacturers, toolchain and software providers, as well as academic and research institutions, collectively building the automotive industry ecosystem.
The AUTOSAR organization annually publishes or updates a series of standardized technical documents that detail architecture, interfaces, methodologies, and implementation requirements, serving as the foundation for developing AUTOSAR-compliant automotive software. However, these documents not only involve cross-disciplinary technologies but also present significant challenges to upstream and downstream companies implementing the standard due to their vast layered architecture and diverse platforms. To effectively address this issue, AUTOSAR officially launched the "AR-Explorer" at this conference. By establishing a knowledge graph-based relational expression of the document system and an intelligent Q&A extended interaction method, it significantly enhances user productivity and experience.
Developed by KOTEI for the AUTOSAR organization, the "AR-Explorer" is an AI-enhanced specification tool based on AUTOSAR standards, fully supporting the AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform, Classic Platform, and foundational platform versions from R20-11 to R24-11.
The tool offers three core advantages: First, an intelligent navigation system enables seamless jumping between documents and clauses, supporting switching between Chinese, English, and Japanese. Second, it innovatively provides interactive and visual traceability of specification correlations, allowing flexible viewing of PDF documents and specific clauses. Third, it incorporates AI-powered intelligent retrieval technology, enabling efficient full-text and precise clause searches.
These features make accessing and understanding AUTOSAR standard documents smarter, more efficient, and user-friendly, greatly enhancing their comprehensibility and usability, and strongly promoting the global application of AUTOSAR standards.
As a premium member of AUTOSAR, KOTEI will leverage its strengths as a leader in the "AI + automotive software" industry to deepen cooperation with the AUTOSAR organization, participate in the formulation and optimization of automotive electronic system architecture standards, and accelerate the adoption of these standards across the industry. We sincerely look forward to collaborating with global automotive industry chain partners to build a more robust AUTOSAR ecosystem and create greater value for the industry.
